America's Cup Model: America, 1851

America's Cup Legend, the first American Yacht to sail to the Isle of Wight to race for the Hundred Guinea Cup, the beautiful black schooner of the New York Yacht Club, America, is at the origin of the most exciting competition on the water: The America's Cup.

The America is truly a work of art. With plank on bulkhead construction, these models are painstakingly crafted in limited production groups of 10 hulls. America has black topsides, a red cove stripe, and a varnished, stained wood hull. She is mounted with brass pedestals on a hardwood display base with a gold trim. She comes with cotton sails and is ready to display. Felt lined underside protects your furniture.
